Business Manager - Psychology- Market Range 12 - Salary DOE&Q - Full Time

This position will assist the department head and faculty with managing financial, budgetary, and operations aspects of the Psychology Department as well as the Psychology Clinic. This position prepares the annual salary budget and manages gifts, grants, and contracts in compliance with federal regulations and statutes for approximately 257 accounts. This position provides data and data analysis to the department head for use in strategic planning.  This position establishes departmental practices to ensure compliance with University policy. This position also has approval authority for specific fiscal and human resources transactions.



Qualifications
Candidates should have:

    Excellent oral and written communication skillsDemonstrated problem-solving experienceKnowledge of uniform guidance and federal acquisition regulation.
In addition, preference will be given to candidates that have experience with:

    IRIS, CAYUSE, and ARGOS softwareExperience in higher education, particularly in an academic department.

Required experience and education:

  • Bachelor's degree with 4 years of accounting/financial experience including 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Associate's degree with 8 years of accounting/financial experience including 3 years or supervisory experience
  • High School diploma with 12 years of accounting/financial experience including 3 years of supervisory experience
Preferred experience:

  • 5 years of financial or accounting experience with grants and contracts management.
