Parking Maintenance Specialist I
The Parking Maintenance Specialist I performs maintenance and repairs on equipment, parking lots, garages and transit facilities. The position also works on special events set-up which involves understanding and applying event set-up assignments and placement of cones/barricades/signs/etc. on campus to support various events. The employee in this position must have the ability to understand and apply basic maintenance concepts related to structural, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Qualifications
Education:
- High School diploma or a minimum of one year of maintenance and/or service experience
- Must have knowledge of safe work practices and be able to perform moderately strenuous work activities.
Job Skills:
- General working knowledge of mechanical equipment and tools.
- Painting
- Basic computer skills (e.g., email and data input).
- Ability to work asan effective member of a team.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Valid State of Tennessee Driver’s License
- Must be available evenings and weekends due to extensive maintenance and special events schedule for the University.
