Job Id: 828 # of Openings: 1 The Conservatory of Music at Wheaton College (Illinois) seeks an accomplished individual to lead its music education program. This is a full-time, tenure-track position in the Conservatory of Music to begin August 2022 and will involve teaching courses in music education, as well as coordinating student teaching in music. Preference will be given to applicants who could also serve as conductor of the Symphonic Band. Additional teaching responsibilities could include conducting, applied lessons, administration, or other areas. All candidates should have evidence of successful undergraduate teaching and conducting experience, an earned doctorate or equivalent professional experience. The successful candidate will be adept at community engagement and committed to areas of recruitment and community service. Wheaton College has just opened a new 90,000 sq. ft, purpose-built music and arts facility, including a 650-seat concert hall and choral rehearsal room, both with outstanding (and tunable) acoustics.
