Job Description:
The Audio Engineering, Sound Design & Music Academy focuses on highly specialized skill sets that are in demand for creating today's broadcast, video, and streaming media. During this pre-college summer program, students will practice writing, producing, and engineering sounds and music for a variety of media platforms through hands-on projects. The Program Coordinator /Instructor for our Audio Engineering, Sound Design & Music Academy is responsible for ensuring that the academy experience for the campers is educational, fun, and aligns with Champlain College academic programs. The Program Coordinator/Instructor is responsible for developing and implementing the curriculum and for the daily operations of this academy while the program is in session. They work with the Director of Pre-college Programs to ensure students' safety and successful program operations.
Program dates July 24- August 5, 2022
Requirements:
Appropriate candidates will have a background in the fields of writing, producing and engineering sound and music for a variety of media platforms. Teaching experience and working with young adults in an educational environment is required.
- Qualified to teach topic at the first-year college level
- Experience teaching in the subject related to this Academy
- Experience working with young adults in a summer camp or academic setting
- Fluent in curriculum development
