Job Details
Provide leadership and operational management for Public Relations and Marketing.
Responsibilities- Direct advertising and promotional efforts for the College to build brand awareness. Research current marketing trends and evaluate advertising methods to develop marketing plans. Create advertising campaigns, including theme and messaging, pricing, writing copy, and arranging photography and layout. Write content, edit, and design college publications and various recruitment and promotion materials. Serve as the subject matter expert in advising and guiding marketing initiatives of district departments.
- Manage the College’s social media presence and accounts. Execute a social media strategy and monitor social media metrics to ensure goals are met. Create, administer content, and manage content calendar for social media channels including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat and TikTok. Generate, edit, publish, and share content that engages students, staff, faculty, and community members. Monitor online activity and respond to inquiries. Serve as the subject matter expert in social media and as a resource for district departments to ensure established guidelines and best practices are followed.
- Assist in the development and management of budget and expenditures, and implement cost savings measures. Participate in budget assessment and planning and complete department budget reports as needed.
- Provide oversight of the CAC Mascot and supervision of associated student employee staff.
- Assist in proofreading College website content to ensure consistency in voice and ADA compliance.
- Assist the Executive Director with researching, writing, editing, distributing press releases and feature stories to local, regional, and national media outlets and post news stories to the college’s websites as needed. Act as back up to Executive Director in their absence.
- This position may perform other duties commensurate with the functions and level of the position to include participating in committee assignments and the recruitment and retention of students.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years related experience
SPECIAL POSITIONS CONDITIONS: Must be able to travel throughout the district using own transportation. Some evening and weekend work may be required.
SALARY: $51,148.00 - $54,217.00 (Dependent upon qualifications)DEADLINE: May 22, 2022

- Ability to produce marketing material and miscellaneous publications to include writing copy, photography, layout, proofing, and publishing.
- Knowledge of Associated Press Style and the proper use of English, grammar, spelling, and proofreading in preparing materials for print.
- Versatile skill set containing strong writing style, layout and design experience, knowledge of computer software applications, and experience in marketing and public relations management.
- Knowledge of Federal, State and local laws, rules and regulations pertaining to marketing and public relations and related activities.
- Knowledge of specific processes, policies, and procedures of office management and workflow procedures to include effective management of workload, i.e. prioritizing, and organizing work.
- Skill in the operation of computers and a variety of software to include desktop publishing, web development, graphic, word processing, spreadsheets, and other software associated with public relations, marketing, and special events.
- Ability to work independently or as part of team to apply workflow processes to meet deadlines imposed by fiscal cycles.
- Skill in communicating both orally, in writing, and in providing information to staff, students, or the public.
- Effective interpersonal skill as applied to interaction with a culturally diverse populations, college administrators, faculty, staff, students, and the public
- Ability to analyze situations, develop solutions, and make independent decisions based on established guidelines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Duties require little physical effort in work with light (up to 10lbs), easy to handle materials. Duties performed causes light fatigue of eyes, fingers, or other facilities due to long periods of standing, sitting, and repetitive motion.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Job is performed in general office or comparable working area with occasional distractions such as noise, interruptions, or congested work areas with exposure to some disagreeable elements.
