Job Summary/Basic Function:Full-time residential faculty position with the College of Arts and Sciences / Department of Modern Languages. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to teaching residential undergraduate Arabic, a second language and/or TESL. Participate in meetings, serving the School and the larger university through committee assignments, projects, etc. as assigned by the Dean, mentoring and meeting with students, and participating in all other regular responsibilities of full-time faculty. The ability to use current teaching technology (LMS, e-textbooks, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications:Master’s Degree with 18 graduate hours in discipline (Arabic) taught. Excellent fluency in Arabic. Commitment to teaching and knowledge of second language acquisition pedagogy. Ability to teach English, a second language, or TESL helpful. Be committed to the evangelical standards and mission of Liberty University.
Preferred Qualifications:Ph.D. in Arabic, Middle Eastern Studies or related field. Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching as well as a competence in coordinating and developing courses.
