Job Description:Sheppard Memorial Library – 530 Evans Street, Greenville, NC – is currently seeking an Adult Public Services Student Assistant.
Applicants awarded this position will work in the ADULT PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT at the main library, Duties include: shelve library materials such as books, magazines, newspapers, CD’s, and DVD’s. Re-shelve stray materials, straighten materials on shelves, and make sure items are in their correct place on the shelves. Occasionally assist at the circulation desk checking-in and checking-out library materials, collecting fines and fees, issue library cards, direct patrons to various resources and perform other routine library duties as directed. Requires working some nights and weekends. This position requires the ability to pay attention to detail and follow instructions. Applicant must be physically and mentally alert while performing a variety of duties.
