Job Description:

Sheppard Memorial Library – EAST BRANCH LIBRARY – 2000 Cedar Lane – Greenville, NC – is currently seeking a student library assistant.

Duties are as follows: shelve books and other library materials. Re-shelve stray materials, straighten materials on the shelves, make sure materials are in their correct place on the shelves. Check-in and check-out library materials, collect fines and fees, issue library cards, direct patrons to various resources, answer the telephone, assist with the Summer Reading Program duties as requested. This position requires the ability to pay attention to detail and follow instructions. Must be physically and mentally alert while performing a variety of duties. Must have the ability to operate computers using various software applications, and may be required to operate a cash register.
