Job Description:

The Department of Physiological Sciences in the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking to hire an Assistant Professor for a 12-month, tenure track appointment. The individual will course-coordinate and teach in the area of Gross Anatomy in the College of Veterinary Medicine professional curriculum.

The successful candidate will be expected to establish an independent, externally-funded research program in the area of physiology/integrative biomedicine. Strong preference will be given to candidates with both veterinary anatomy teaching experience and existing/potential for extramural research funding.

The successful candidate will be a member of the faculty in the Department of Physiological Sciences, associated with the adjacent UF Health Science Center along with departments from other UF Colleges including Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Public Health & Health Professions, Engineering (biomedical), and the adjacent McKnight Brain Institute. Current departmental and CVM faculty have strong, federally-funded research programs and active collaborations with investigators in other UF colleges. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the mentoring and teaching of graduate and professional degree students. Expected Salary:

Salary and start-up package will be provided at a level commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications.

Minimum Requirements:

Applicants must hold a PhD degree and should have postdoctoral training.

Preferred Qualifications:A DVM degree is desired but not required. Special Instructions to Applicants:
