Job Description:

  • Perform all duties assigned in the areas of maintenance, renovation, and/or repair of College facilities.
  • Maintain, renovate and repair all college-owned facilities to include minor roof work and carpentry.
  • Install, maintain and repair plumbing fixtures, piping and pumps.
  • Install, maintain and repair electrical conduit, equipment, wiring and components.
  • Prepare surfaces, mix paint and perform painting tasks (interior/exterior).
  • Mix/process concrete; perform minor road and sidewalk repair working with required materials.
  • Assist in all emergencies.
  • As a part of the college's risk management tool annual mandatory compliance training is required.
  • Perform any other assigned duties as requested by persons in authority assigned to the Facilities Department.

Emergencies: When an emergency exists with equipment or systems such as water, gas sewage, facility damage or malfunctions, the Facilities II personnel will remain on campus until conditions are corrected or released by proper authorities.

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous maintenance experience desired.
  • Ability to climb ladders, kneel, squat, crawl, go up and down stairs, extended standing, work on scaffolds on a daily basis.
  • Physically qualified to relocate heavy equipment and furniture.
  • Able to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.
  • Possess a valid Florida Driver's License.
  • Employment is contingent on a passing physical examination.

Salary: $25,124.00-$33,408.00

Location: Mainly the Niceville Campus, but will work at all centers as well

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
