Position Purpose

This position helps students understand Evergreen’s curriculum, develop an academic plan, and choose programs and courses to explore interests and attain their goals; supports students in developing skills for college success, and makes referrals to college resources and support services as necessary; assists students in exploring and preparing for careers or post-baccalaureate education; supports engagement in experiential learning opportunities, including internships; and assists students in understanding Evergreen policies and procedures. In addition to general advising responsibilities, this position will have bilingual Spanish/English language skills and cultural competencies to support Latinx, Latin American, (im)migrant, and undocumentd students. This position reports to the Director of Academic and Career Advising (ACA). 

This is a full-time, overtime-eligible position in Academic and Career Advising on the Olympia Campus of The Evergreen State College. This position is exempt from Washington State Civil Service rules.

Salary and Benefits: $3,589 – $4,020 per month of full-time work + excellent benefits including paid sick and vacation leave; paid campus holidays; a generous medical, dental, life, and disability insurance package; and a tuition waiver program.
