- Anschutz Campus – Exemptions are allowed for medical or religious reasons.
- Comply with University, State, Federal, and Sponsor policies and procedures.Work with staff and designated workgroup to design and implement outreach activities with emphasis on COVID vaccinations.Coordinate dissemination of information/education through social media platform.Consult CON Marketing on implementing marketing strategies and designing marketing materials. Engage with the community by participating in community events, engaging with existing community partners (e.g. Sheridan School District) and outreaching to the community-at-large to establish new partnerships. Assist patients and families to navigate the various enrollment processes. Serve as a patient advocate in enrollment and health-related initiatives.Track all connections made and applications processed in order to complete both state and federally required reports.Eligibility assistance staff will provide assistance in finding resources for social services, pharmacy, and other assistance programs.Performs routine clerical work in support of clinical activities including scheduling appointments, assisting patients, and entering data into computer.Maintain and drive Mobile Unit to events and other outreach activities.Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Two years of experience working with healthcare systems/services, community organizations/engagement, social services, and/or public resources.
- Must be willing and able to work some evenings and weekends on an infrequent, as-needed basis.Must be willing and able to work in normal patient care environment with some exposure to biological hazards and infectious diseases.Must be willing and able to pass a sex offender background check.
- Experience utilizing bilingual skills (Spanish/English) at a conversation level in a professional setting.
- Experience working with community health centers.Familiarity with electronic health record systems.Experience with public and private insurance plans/programs.Experience in planning and implementing projects and coordination of events.
- Working knowledge of the Colorado Medicaid program.
- Ensure strict compliance with University & professional policies/procedures.
- Ability to handle confidential material in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultures and diverse socioeconomic situations.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with patients and team members of all skill levels.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member, as well as independently, when needed.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite of products.
