Kutztown University of Pennsylvania's Department of Sports Medicine seeks applications for a full-time, 10-month, non-teaching tenure-track Faculty Athletic Trainer.  Required; Master's degree with BOC certification and PA licensure, or eligible; 3 years professional athletic training experience; experience working with football; and experience working with diverse populations.  Preference given to candidates who have familiarity with emerging female NCAA sports. Computer, verbal and written communication skills will be essential.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assist with the delivery of the Sports Medicine Services program to student-athletes; evaluation, management, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries; supervision of student employees; ability to work collaboratively with the University's Health and Wellness Services' clinical staff, team physicians and various campus departments and community resources in the delivery of comprehensive health care to student-athletes; providing game and practice coverage, as well as other duties assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine and the Assistant Vice President of Recreational Services and Athletic Resources.  A successful interview and demonstration of abilities is required.  Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.  This is a ten-month position and begins August 1, 2022.  Salary is competitive.

We have 330 full-time faculty members and boast a favorable 19:1 student-faculty ratio. Sixty percent of our faculty have doctorates, 39% earned master's degrees and 1% have bachelor's degrees.
