The mission of the College of Nursing & Professional Disciplines (CNPD) is to prepare future leaders, to advance human well-being and to improve quality of life for diverse populations, with an emphasis on rural communities in North Dakota, the region and beyond, through the provision of high-quality innovative inter-professional education, research and service. The College of Nursing & Professional Disciplines offers innovative online educational programs, a simulation laboratory, and a supportive student environment for both face-to-face and distance learning. Our federally funded Recruitment and Retention of American Indians into Nursing (RAIN) Program has successfully recruited, retained and graduated 244 BSN, 72 MS, and 3 DNP prepared American Indian nurses. The college consists of the departments of Nursing, Nutrition & Dietetics, and Social Work. For this position, we are looking for a Clinical Instructor to teach in our Undergraduate Nursing program.

• 90% teaching
• 10% service to department, college and/or university

The faculty member will teach and advise students in the on campus Undergraduate BSN nursing program and serve on various committees at the department, college and/or university level.

• Masters degree in Nursing OR BSN degree with enrollment in MS in Nursing program
• 2 years clinical experience in area of major teaching responsibility
• Unencumbered nursing license or license-eligible in ND & other states, as required
• Successful completion of a criminal history records check.

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

• Doctoral degree or enrolled in doctoral study
• Teaching experience in academic setting
• 2 years practice in long term care or acute care

The annual salary for a 9 month contract is $58,153 for BSN candidates and $62,900 for MS in Nursing candidates.

Start date is August 16, 2022. Work schedule will vary & be dependent on the class(es) taught.
