Center For Nursing Practice ManagerThe University of Tennessee Knoxville, College of Nursing (UTK CON) is seeking applications for the Center for Nursing Practice Manager.  This position supports the daily activities of the College of Nursing's Center for Nursing Practice (CNP). The Center for Nursing Practice supports the initiation, development, and expansion of nurse-led care; international service, education and research opportunities; continuing education activities; and the Precious Prints Project.



Qualifications
Job Duties:

    Support the Associate Dean for Practice in the management and oversight of the Center for Nursing Practice.Develop and update the website for the Center and its projects in conjunction with the Director for IT. Collaborate with the Assistant Dean of Finance and Operations regarding income, expenses, and the formulation of conference budgets, project budgets, and practice budgets.Plan for financial sustainability of the Center through projects, continuing education, conferences and student travel.    Support relationships for current and future global partnerships; e.g. Kenya, Malawi, Belize, Paloma (Spain), and others as presented to the Center for effort consideration.Support relationships and structures that encourage the development of nurse-led care initiatives; e.g. VSHC, KCDC, Scott County Initiative, Hawaii, Humana (Knoxville), Knox County Community groups, and others as presented to the Center for effort consideration. Create and manage the Center for Nursing Practice’s nurse-led care consortium through regular communications and website updates. Respond to questions by phone, email, and in-person asked by the outside community and professionals about the programs (CNP, Nurse-led Care clinics, Global Initiatives, Precious Prints, Continuing Education and Conferences) under the purview of the Center for Nursing Practice and in consult with the selected faculty directors.Plan, advertise, implement and evaluate Conferences and Continuing Education Programs conducted for the Center and CON. Facilitate and coordinate conference site including AV requirements, food, and speakers at the conference. Collect and receipt incoming checks and cash for CE eventsDevelop online continuing education modules for nurses to maintain their APRN certification status. Manage the process for obtaining for continuing education credits for programs in collaboration with the Faculty Liaison, TN Board of Nursing and ANCC.Review all CE documentation for completion and communicates with nurse planner/s. Support TNA-provider programs to meet TNA requirements including acquisition of conflict of interest forms, educational objectives, and other speaker forms Provide CEU certificates to participants of CE programs.Compile and summarize CE program evaluations for TNA reporting Develop quarterly and CE provider annual reports to CE approving body.Provide CE provider information to potential community partners.Actively participate in specialty programs delivered by the CON to ensure success.Orient, teach, and guide all nurse planners in the process of obtaining continuing education contact hours Act as the Precious Prints liaison between the CON and community partnersEstablish the inventory control, tracking and data collection processes for Precious PrintsFacilitate communication with University Departments for Precious Prints Fundraising events. Mentor students in Precious Prints project management and project presentation.Significant assistance provided to students organizing the Sprint for the PrintsManage necessary documents and forms required for financial reconciliation related to Precious Prints Project events and services. (requests, reimbursements, travel, etc.).Request to purchase and deliver kits to Precious Prints community partners.Provide ongoing communication with Precious Prints Project vendor for inventory management and address any concerns/issues.Maintain Precious Prints Project information and documents in the UT storage drives. Represent Project interests at public events.Identify potential areas for growth within the Precious Prints Project through identification of strengths and areas for improvement.Identify potential community resources for Precious Prints Project promotion.Assist in developing the Precious Prints model for schools of nursing and hospitalsIn collaboration with the CON F&A Office, invoice Precious Prints partners for kits requested Prepare a plan with the Precious Prints Director, Associate Dean and Dean to expand project outside of the East Tennessee Area.

Educational and Experience Requirement

    Bachelor’s degree in relevant field Two years of professional office experience
Educational and Experience Preferred

    High education or non-profit experience
