Job SummaryThe Student Services Assistant II, Health Sciences position assists with tasks associated with the delivery of services to students enrolled in Health Sciences Programs.
Duties & Responsibilities- Provides students with admission and registration information
- Troubleshoots and assists students with problems or questions about web registration, MyMDCAccount management, and Internet resources for student information
- Processes dual enrollment applications, registrations, and exemptions
- Participates in training activities and workshops
- Updates academic records
- Serves on College and Campus committees
- Accurately processes related admissions and registration records related requests
- Interacts with other College departments and outside agencies in regards to assigned functions
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and three (3) years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience
- All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
- Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
- Knowledge of College activities and special programs, college regulations, testing, counseling and advisement services
- Possess excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and software applications
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations
- Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relations with students, faculty and administration
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Handles the clerical operations of the department and assists the Chairperson in performing departmental functions
- Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
