Director of Ticketing Director of Ticketing Bethune-Cookman University Summary Summary Manages computerized ticket operations, which may include the central University ticket office, the Athletics ticket office, on-site event ticket offices, and/or occasional event ticket offices. Provides overall fiscal management of ticketing operations and ticketed-event planning support for users of the Performing Arts Center, University Arena, and/or other University venues.   1. Manages all facets of the daily operations and/or event operations of the organizational unit, ensuring compliance with the University, state, and federal laws, policies, and regulations.
  2. Oversees the supervision of personnel, which includes work allocation, training, promotion, enforcement of internal procedures and controls, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
  3. Assists in reviewing ticketing needs and procedures with venue users; prepares events for system sale, including event builds in the ticketing system, and conducts final event sales audits.
  4. Monitors and maintains integrity of cash-handling and fiscal procedures. Oversees cash and credit card deposits and reconciliation of event transactions.
  5. Provides detailed sales and financial reports on a timely basis; maintains all ticket office records.
  6. Develops and implements systems and processes to establish and maintain records for the operating unit.
  7. Develops or assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures consistent with those of the organization to ensure efficient and safe operation of the unit.
  8. May work closely with internal and external partners to develop and grow specified programs. This position will work with department management in evaluation of procedures and workflow.
  9. May maintain, organize, and handle all sales and ticketing needs for specified programs and productions. May run reports for department management as required.
  10. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

  • Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree required with 3-5 years of experience in ticket operations at the professional or collegiate level with a minimum of 1-2 years of managerial experience. Intermediate working knowledge of the Ticketmaster's TM Host system required. Qualifications

    • Provide a superior level of customer service to ensure a positive experience for all patrons to promote Bethune-Cookman University Athletics and Performing Art Center for ticketed events and concerts.
    • Work closely with the Athletic Director on all athletic events.
    • Provide ticketing services for the University for Mary McLeod Performing Art Center, Moore Gymnasium, Jackie Robinson Baseball Stadium, Ormond Beach Softball Complex, Daytona Beach Municipal Football Stadium the Daytona Beach Ocean Center Box Office for Bethune-Cookman University Basketball games.
    • Assist the Amway Center and Bethune-Cookman University in the process of managing the ticket selling process for the Battle of the Bands event in Orlando, Florida.
    • Assist the Camping World Stadium Box Office in Orlando, Florida for the Annual Florida Classic event of Bethune-Cookman University vs. Florida A&M University.
    • Report to the Conference about ticketing and reporting on the behalf of the Bethune-Cookman University Athletic Department.
    • Assist the Cashier’s Office of Fiscal Affairs when assigned.
    • Communicate with the Ticketmaster representative and field tech on a regular basis
    • Communicate effectively with the general public through box office hours, phone, email, and web space to provide most up-to-date ticket information and address all inquiries.
    • Participate in sales campaigns for prospective ticket sales as needed.
    • Oversight of all accounting and financial operations of Ticket Office including deposits, record keeping, invoicing, and reporting functions.
    • Utilize and maintain all ticket office technology including Ticketmaster software, validation scanners, credit card machines, printers to maximize ticket office efficiency.
    • Experience using event Management system, TMONE, TM Access Manager and TM Host.
    • Set-up and breakdown of all game day ticket sales outlets.
    • Oversee the supervision of will call locations, scheduling and supervision of part-time and student employees, management of all revenues and expenses related to the athletics ticket office consistent with all applicable Bethune-Cookman University policies and procedures.
    • Work evenings, weekends, some travel with teams, as well as other related duties as assigned by supervisors.
