Research Assistant Professor
The Department of Pharmaceutics (PC) at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy (COP) in Orlando, Florida invites applications for a full-time, 12-month non-tenure track position at the rank of Research Assistant Professor. The successful applicant will have demonstrated expertise in Quantitative Clinical Pharmacology (e.g., proven skills in pharmacometrics and systems pharmacology), the ability to work in teams and in partnerships, knowledge of drug development and regulatory science, ability to recognize and apply enabling mechanistic PBPK, PK-PD and systems pharmacology models within the context of applied clinical research. Others skills of importance include ability to manage projects, fluent communication skills (written and verbal) to interact effectively across CPSP-research partner boundaries, and ability to creating a positive working environment with a focus on the mission of the CPSP in drug development and regulatory science. Candidates are expected to be proficient in at least two PBPK modeling platforms, including commercially available platforms and custom-based ones. Selected candidate will work under the supervision of Drs. Cristofoletti and Schmidt on applying PBPK modeling to advance translational and quantitative clinical pharmacology research.

The successful candidate will have at least PharmD and 3-5 years’ experience, including experience during PhD, in biosimulation applications relevant to drug development and regulatory science, a working knowledge of common tools and technology for pharmacometrics and systems pharmacology (e.g., NONMEM, R, SAS, MATLAB, Simcyp, GastroPlus, PK-Sim).
Additional preferences include experience in working with interdisciplinary teams and a record of scientific publications.
