Founded in 1916, Sacramento City College (SCC) is a multi-campus, urban college that consists of a 70-acre main campus across from William Land Park. The College has two educational centers, one in Davis on the campus of the University of California, Davis, and one in West Sacramento located adjacent to the public library, community center, and civic center. The External Events Coordinator, under the direction of the Operations Director and/or Supervisor, will assist with external rental of athletic and other miscellaneous events held at the College’s facilities, as required by the Campus Operations Department.Benefits:
Greets and serves as the official liaison for visiting teams, officials, emergency personnel, media, community groups, and/or other organizations using Sacramento City College facilities. Assists with event set-up requirements when needed, including unlocking and securing facilities. Notifies Police or the Operations Director and/or Supervisor if anyone using Sacramento City College facilities, upon observation, is not complying with the Facility Use Permit, rules, regulations, terms and conditions of use.
Other duties for external rentals, as required:
- Assists the chain gang crew for football
- Scoreboard operation
- Scoreboard keeper
- Cart Operator
- Storage of material goods
- Other organizational duties

NOTE: Temporary classified positions are limited to 135 work days per fiscal year, per board regulation.
Alternate work schedules and remote/hybrid assignments may be available depending upon the operational needs of the department and employee performance.

Experience: One year of experience as an Event Coordinator or relevant experience in a similar field. (One year of college level event planning, marketing, business or clerical course work may be substituted for one year of work experience).Application Instructions:
