Job Summary:

The Adjunct Instructor supports the delivery of the PharmD Curriculum; working directly with students, faculty, staff, and administrators as required. Work may be conducted in the classroom, online, during office hours, or in workshops.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Individuals must possess the knowledge, as well as the following skills and abilities or be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
1. Expertise in the area of Pharmacy Practice or the area of instruction.
2. Ability to communicate effectively both with groups and individuals.
3. Ability to interact effectively with people of all backgrounds, including students, administration, faculty, and staff.
4. Ability to handle detail-oriented assignments and maintain confidentiality.
5. Ability to handle a wide range of responsibilities in the college environment.

Required Qualifications:

1. Education: PharmD, or JD, or PhD in an appropriate field.
2. Experience: Teaching, precepting, and mentoring PharmD students.
3. Licensure: Pharmacists must hold a clear license to practice pharmacy.

Preferred Qualifications:

If appropriate, licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of California.

Hourly position working as needed to support the teaching mission of the COP. The schedule will be set by the Associate Dean for Curricular Affairs.
