The Humanities and Communication Department at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking a non-tenure-track Visiting Assistant Professor to teach writing-intensive courses on our Daytona Beach campus, beginning fall semester 2022. The position includes a 4-4 teaching load, consisting primarily of first-year writing, with expectations of some service to the department.
The ideal candidate will have a record of teaching excellence, a commitment to general education, with training in composition and rhetoric, and a keen interest in the unique opportunity to teach writing at a STEM-oriented institution. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in English, composition/rhetoric or a closely related discipline with at least 18 graduate credit hours in English or composition/rhetoric and have experience teaching college-level writing.
