Minimum Qualifications:

Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Position Summary:

The CED Help Desk provides Tier 1 support to Faculty, Staff, and Students on a variety of technical and operational issues related to technology use, software installation, and scanning and printing. This position will be a public facing support personnel. This will include client engagement through phones, email, tickets and walk-ins. This position will provide support to the CED IT staff working on equipment, classroom, and office setup.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:

Knowledge of IT processes, functions, best practices, and procedures. Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and critical thinking skills.

Physical Demands:

Sitting at PC workstation for protracted periods using keyboard, mouse, and telephone. Moving computer equipment up to 35 lbs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Help Desk Support
* Providing support to all faculty, staff, and students of the College, through phone and email.
* Deliver knowledgeable and reliable service at first point of contact, offering advice and support for centrally provided IT service
* Assist in resolving and/or routing support tickets.
* Assist in documenting and improving Help Desk processes.
* Assist in operation of the large format scanner, plotter, and printing kiosks.

Visually check on the equipment in instructional areas to ensure function, cleanliness, and readiness for teaching/learning
Assist with classroom technology setup
*Work with internal and external service providers as needed to keep equipment operational
