The Packaging Technology Concentration in the Industrial Technology and Packaging Area in the Orfalea College of Business at Cal Poly is creating a pool of eligible part-time lecturers and lab instructors for possible teaching assignments during the Summer, Fall, Winter, and/or Spring Quarters of the 2022-23 academic year. Teaching areas: packaging design, packaging polymers and processing, packaging machinery and processes, packaging sustainability, instrumental analysis of packaging polymers, packaging quality assessment, packaging laws and regulations, healthcare packaging, packaging performance testing and packaging development. Assignments will be contingent upon budget and enrollments.

B.S. in Industrial Technology, Engineering, Packaging or related discipline required. Must demonstrate a strong teaching potential and commitment to maintaining currency in professional field.


M.S., MBA, or Ph.D. degree in Industrial Technology, Engineering, Packaging or related discipline is preferred.
