The Student Services Advisor is to serve as front-line representative for Student Administrative Services' OneStop department. This position assists students with administrative concerns, questions, and procedures and acts as liaison between students and the following areas: Financial Assistance, Housing & Residential Life, Registrar, Academic Advising, Convocation, Student Accounts, Student Insurance, Public Safety, Student Employment, Student Health/Counseling, International Programs, and International Student Services

Duties

  • Provide face-to-face interaction with students, colleagues and faculty to assist with registration, advisement, payments, records and any other issue.
  • Provide email and phone support to all those who contact our office regarding issues listed above.
  • Process paperwork such as petitions, transcript requests, payments, verifications, etc.
  • Actively support the mission of the institution by providing superior service and ensuring that the student is at the heart of the educational enterprise.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Uphold the University's mission through work performed.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's degree. Strong identification and support of the University's mission; service-orientation; interpersonal skills; ability to multi-task; PC-literate with knowledge of standard office applications; strong writing skills.

Preferred: Two years of related student administrative services experience; customer service experience and/or training; billing or collection experience.

Qualified individuals should be able to articulate a strong commitment to diversity, and have the ability to work effectively with individuals from different backgrounds.

This is a Regular, Nonexempt, 40 hour per week position.

Salary: Commensurate with experience.
