Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Full-time, nine month, tenure-track or instructor position in the Hutson School of Agriculture to begin August 2022.

Teach 12 hours per semester of courses such as Ag Sales, Ag Policy, Commodity Marketing, and other Agribusiness courses as assigned. Teach courses in agribusiness and agricultural economics and develop new courses that will enhance the current Agribusiness curriculum. Public service, advisor to student groups, and student advising required. Positive rapport with regional agribusiness firms required. Participate in research and scholarly activities, serve on committees, and support a quality graduate program in the Hutson School of Agriculture.

Minimum Education Requirements:

Master’s in Agriculture Business, Ag Economics, Food and Resource Economics or related field is required.

Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements:

Demonstrated competence in the area of agriculture business is required.

Preferred Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

PhD in Agriculture Business, Ag Economics, Food and Resource Economics or related field is preferred. ABDs with a documented plan of completion by appointment date will be considered. Documented successful teaching experience at the post-secondary level is preferred. Work experience within the broad area of Agriculture Business. Demonstrated skills in communications, human relations, and leadership int he field of Agribusiness. Online instructional experience.

Note: If the successful candidate is master’s prepared, the position will be filled as a non-tenure track, instructor. If the successful candidate holds a terminal degree, the position will be filled as a tenure-track, assistant professor.
