PROJECT MANAGEMENT ANALYST Req #:203693Department:UW FINANCE TRANSFORMATION (UWFT)Job Location: Seattle Campus Job Location Detail:position is eligible to work fully remote within the U.S. (excluding U.S. territories) Posting Date:04/18/2022 Closing Info:Open Until Filled Salary:Salary and benefits are competitive. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Shift:First Shift As a UW employee, you have a unique opportunity to change lives on our campuses, in our state and around the world. UW employees offer their boundless energy, creative problem solving skills and dedication to build stronger minds and a healthier world.

UW faculty and staff also enjoy outstanding benefits, professional growth opportunities and unique resources in an environment noted for diversity, intellectual excitement, artistic pursuits and natural beauty.

The UW Finance Transformation Program (UWFT) is a $270M initiative to replace the University’s financial systems with an integrated system to manage the full suite of financial transactions and reporting needs in the UW system – to include academic, administrative, and healthcare. UWFT will fundamentally change the processes and tools that the University employs to track, spend, collect, manage, and report University finances in excess of $7B in annual revenues, resulting in more timely and actionable information for leadership. Among the UW’s highest administrative priorities, this multi-year initiative is one of the largest finance system projects in Washington State and the outcome of the program will be highly visible at all levels of the University and the state.

The UW Finance Transformation Program has an excellent opportunity for a Project Management (PM) Analyst to support Testing. The PM Analyst-Testing will coordinate and work with the UWFT Project Management team and UWFT Test Leads to develop, enhance, and support the project management and testing tools, systems, and processes. This position will be responsible for facilitating the sprint planning and tracking of workstream status against identified schedule outcomes. This position will complete detailed analysis of deliverables across the workstream, identifying potential issues and risks, and escalating concerns to the PM team and Test Lead teams for resolution.

A high degree of complexity arises from the decentralized nature of the University, coupled with the overall systems environment and magnitude of transformation desired. There is a resultant need to streamline and standardize administrative systems and processes across a very diverse and historically relatively autonomous stakeholder base. This position must have excellent project management and support skills, ability to collaborate with a diverse group of team members, attention to detail, and outstanding problem-solving skills. This role requires the ability to communicate effectively with project leaders and individual team members, and complete complex reporting to leadership. This position must also escalate quickly if there is concern about achieving planned milestones.
