Join Harborview Medical Center's Pioneer Square/Downtown programs for an 80% FTE (32 hours per week), Day shift position as a Certified Medical Assistant (MA).
The Pioneer Square Downtown Programs is looking for a part-time MA (32 hrs/week) for our Primary Care clinic sites. Utilizing the concepts of trauma informed care and harm reduction, we specialize in the care of patients living un-housed downtown Seattle.
The Medical Assistants (MA) at Harborview Medical Center are responsible for patient care, clinic maintenance, and assisting other support and provider staff as needed. The MA is capable of performing certain clinical and clerical duties as trained and is responsible for ensuring that the clinic is opened, stocked, cleaned, and closed each day. The MA is responsible for providing care to a wide range of ethnically and culturally diverse patient population. As such, the Medical Assistant must be able to work with a diverse patient population.

Weekdays 8:00am - 4:30pm
REQUIREMENTS:
Completion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or other recognized regional or national accreditation board; OR equivalent education/experience.
LEGAL REQUIREMENT:
Must be Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified or achieve this designation during the probationary period. Failure to achieve and/or maintain this designation will result in termination of employment.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:
Valid BLS/CPR Card
