Conduct the learning experience in the classroom, laboratory, and/or clinical areas. Prepare for instruction- syllabi, lesson plans, tests, use assessment strategies to assist the continuous development of the learner, use effective communication techniques with students and others. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the subject matter, use appropriate and current technology in the teaching and learning process. This is a 164 duty day position. Hour will vary and require some evenings.

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS:

Faculty who teach in the Associate Degree Nursing Program must have a Master's of Science in Nursing degree and be licensed in Florida or be eligible for licensure in Florida.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Three years of experience as staff nurse (acute care preferred). Ability to present information in a coherent manner and the ability to fairly evaluate student retention of that information.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Computer literate, teaching experience preferred.
