The incumbent in this position will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and monitoring the University's Credit Card Compliance program. The Specialist will assist in performing internal assessments of credit card compliance and efficiency. The incumbent will assist operational units in seeking PCI Compliant credit card processing solutions and remediate Compliance issues.
- Assist PCI Manager in maintaining an effective PCI Compliance education and training program, including ongoing education for University personnel, and the development of web-based materials to facilitate learning independently.
- Assist Departments in obtaining an understanding of the PCI Compliance issues associated with the credit card processing, and restrictions of credit card processing, software, hardware, etc.; providing guidance with implementing technology; purchasing of technology and securing of sensitive credit card holder data.
- Exercises administrative judgment and assumes responsibility for analysis and recommendations that impact people, costs, and/or quality of service. Recommends and participates in decisions/actions involving University policy and procedures with senior management.
- Maintain PCI Compliance database, logs, documentation and filing system to ensure accurate and up-to-date information and Compliance with record keeping requirements.
- Assist in on-boarding and processing new merchant applications, develop appropriate internal controls, and ensure that credit card processing is efficient and minimizes institutional risk.
- Assist in the implementation of systems and procedures that comply with applicable laws and the Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standards.
- Conduct risk assessments
- Maintain and update content on PCI Compliance website.
- Perform other duties as assigned

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

Experience:
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
- Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
- Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office)
