Job Title: Administrative Specialist - Temporary
Hiring Salary/Salary Range: $17/hour - 20 hours/week

Job Summary: The position provides support to the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Responsible for a broad range of administrative duties supporting the coordination of events, planning, and programming for the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, as well as for those related to College’s strategic plan and staff recruitment and retention. Assemble and organize information for the College of Pharmacy inventories of diversity training, staff development, and other diversity-related topics.An administrative staff must maintain extensive knowledge of university, college, and department policies and procedures, and be able to interpret and apply them to support faculty and students. This is administrative support work which is directly related to the diversity mission of the university, requiring the application of discretion and judgment on matters of significance with respect to diversity, equity, and inclusion. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate staff meetings, materials, and stakeholders related to the development of the Diversity Strategic Plan; create event marketing materials for these meetings.Organize events to advance the goals of the Diversity Strategic Plan and/or enhance diversity efforts administered by the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion as needed.
- Manage and maintain the schedule of the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.Manage and maintain contact with stakeholders, pharmacy units, faculty, and event speakers related to the diversity and planning. Manage communicate content created through the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, as well as group discussions and activities.
- Create, maintain, and disseminate a calendar and schedule of College-wide events related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Perform other administrative duties as assigned to support the mission and function of the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and the College of Pharmacy.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience):
Minimum Qualifications:
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least four years of experience in an office or administrative support position. Additional education may not be substituted for this experience requirement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in event planning, coordinating meetings and designing marketing materials/event announcements. Experience in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, BOX, Canvas Management system, and electronic survey toolsExperience in diversity training, diversity-related programs and initiatives, or equivalent experience.Project management experienceMaster's degree
