Associate Director of Annual Giving - HybridApril 15, 2022

The Associate Director of Annual Giving manages the execution of strategic outreach, solicitation, and stewardship initiatives for the Office of Development and Alumni Relations to generate annual support of the College, increase donor renewals, and strengthen donor participation and engagement from alumni, parents, and friends of the College. This position is located in Lake Forest, IL and is eligible for hybrid work arrangements. Successful candidate must live within a commutable range to Lake Forest office.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and implement annual giving strategies and administer multi-channel annual solicitation to increase donor participation and giving from alumni, parents and friends of the College and build a pipeline of support.
  • Develop and implement stewardship and communication strategies for the College’s annual donors, especially those donors in the Loyalty Circle.
  • Partner with the Office of Marketing and Communications to coordinate outreach and messages to each audience.
  • Manage Forester Day, our flagship Giving Day to support the College, renew current donors, engage new donors, and build a robust pipeline of support.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years fundraising experience required, 3-5 years preferred. Must possess strong writing and communication skills. Must be proficient in print, phone, and digital fundraising tools and platforms.

Preference for candidates with experience using Technolutions Slate CRM or similar, Mailchimp or similar email design software, GiveCampus or similar crowdfunding software, Panopto or similar video platform, Adobe Creative Suite, Social Media systems, and associated analytics tools (google analytics, email reporting, solicitation tracking codes). Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and capable of using other standard Microsoft Office applications. Must have experience working with vendors to execute mass print mailings and phoning campaigns.

This position requires discretionary judgement and independent decision making daily. The department leadership relies heavily on the initiative, creativity, and discipline of the person in this position to realize the vision and carry out the plans of the department.
