Minimum Qualifications:

Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred in Education, Psychology, Sport Management, or a related field.

Position Summary:

University of Georgia, a Division I member of the Southeastern Conference is currently seeking applications for the position of Academic Counseling Intern. This is a limited-term, 11-month position beginning in July 2022 and ending in May 2023.

  • Experience in collegiate athletics academic support, higher education, teaching, or related field Experience working with academically at-risk student-athlete populations
  • Familiarity with NCAA rules and regulations

  • Read and write business correspondence and to communicate proficiently with individuals within and outside the University by telephone and email.

  • Have computer experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database knowledge is also highly recommended.
