The Department of Psychological Science is a dynamic and rapidly growing department housed in the Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences (RCHSS). The Department of Psychological Science has 45 full-time and several part-time faculty supporting a major and minor in psychology, including a fully online undergraduate program. The department has a commitment to providing a rigorous education that prepares almost 2,500 majors (Bachelor of Science) and 600+ minors for careers and graduate training. The Department strives to be inclusive, collaborative, and family-friendly. Department resources include several testing rooms with and without computers, and software for online survey administration.
With more than 400 full-time faculty and 8000 degree seeking students, the RCHSS , the largest college at the University, prepares the next generation of leaders in a wide array of fields to meet the challenges of the twenty-first century and become contributing citizens in a global society. The home of three Schools and eight Departments, RCHSS offers more than 80 graduate and undergraduate programs of study in both traditional and interdisciplinary fields. Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for Limited-Term Instructor or Limited-Term Assistant Professor faculty positions in the Department of Psychology to begin August 2022. Responsibilities
The selected candidates may be asked to deliver undergraduate courses across a variety of areas, including general psychology, developmental psychology, social psychology, biological psychology, clinical psychology, sensation, and research/statistics. Other courses may be assigned as needed. The teaching load is five courses per semester. A fully online teaching schedule may be possible. Faculty will work with a wide variety of students from diverse backgrounds. Required Qualifications
For the instructor role, a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Psychology or closely related area, is required. For professorial ranks, a Ph.D. or terminal degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Psychology or closely related area is required. A record of effective teaching at the university level Preferred Qualifications
