Under the direction of the Director of Community Partnerships & Campus Visit Experience, the Program Coordinator of Community Partnerships is responsible for developing and coordinating outreach efforts for area and community organizations, including our ASPIRE partners to promote higher education and A&M-San Antonio. This position will work collaboratively with all ASPIRE College Access Advisors, Program Coordinator for Campus Visit Experience, and external partners to further the University’s mission and provide resources and programming for our community.

This position will work a minimum of 40 hours per week and is an in-person/on-campus position. Some work hours will extend into the evenings and weekends. Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and peak times. Some travel is required.


  • Implement an effective outreach and engagement program plan for the University which will target and support the community and ASPIRE network.

  • Coordinate logistics, secure meeting spaces, order catering and provide general event support for all outreach programming. May also provide facilitation for the events.

  • Coordinate and provide event support for the Classroom of the Month program for ASPIRE elementary and middle schools.

  • Coordinate and provide event support for the Challenge to ASPIRE summer camps that create career and college exploration for ASPIRE elementary and middle school students.

  • Collaborates with Program Coordinator for Campus Visit Experience to build a tour experience for elementary and middle school groups.

  • Collaborates with other offices across campus including but not limited to the Office of Admissions, Office of Financial Aid, New Student Programs, Family Engagement, Mays Center, etc.

  • Secures appropriate resources (meeting rooms, parking, etc.) for all outreach programming.

  • Track data analytics for all programs.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.

  • Two years of related experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Planning and organizational skills.

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
