Job Summary/Basic Function:

We are seeking online adjunct faculty members to teach students in graduate and undergraduate programs within the School of Health Sciences. The School of Health Sciences exists to prepare men and women in the sciences and health professions through the integration of current scientific thought and the biblical worldview. The School of Health Sciences contains three departments: The Department of Biology & Chemistry, the Department of Allied Health Professions and the Department of Public & Community Health. We offer a variety of programs online and are adding new programs yearly.
Adjunct positions are available in the following programs:
- Health Sciences (PhD or DHS/DHSc in Health Sciences)
- Nutrition (Doctorate required)
- Medical/Biomedical Sciences (Doctorate required)
- Public Health (Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Community Nutrition, Environmental Health)
- Environmental Sciences (GIS) (DrPH/PhD/DHS preferred from CEPH accredited program)
Teaching responsibilities will include preparing and disseminating weekly announcements, communicating with students via e-mails, preparing course videos, moderating discussion board forums, and grading weekly. The adjunct will be expected to respond to e-mails within 24-36 hours and will grade student’s assignments, giving substantive feedback within 5-6 days of the assignment submission. The adjunct will also carry out administrative responsibilities as directed by their Instructional Mentor, Faculty Support Coordinator, Online Chair, or Online Dean; these administrative tasks include roster verification, reporting items, and timely submission of final grades, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

Terminal degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the content area of instruction for all graduate level courses.
Masters degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the content area of instruction for all undergraduate level courses.
Faculty must be able to contribute to the Evangelical Christian mission of the university. Candidates must be compatible with the Biblical young earth creationist perspective.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience teaching and/or mentoring students in an online environment. Experience in the discipline.
