Job Description Summary

This position will provide financial and administrative support to the FTD Center within the Department of Neurology. The position will be responsible multiple activities, tasks and competing priorities in a self-directed manner to support key Center activities throughout the entire lifecycle of the project. This role will independently coordinate, monitor, process and/or create invoices for transactions related to the FTD Center’s research financial activities. This also includes but not limited to Pre-award functions (working with departmental business office on routing agreements for review, budget development); Clinical trial / Research study budget development based on clinical trial / research study protocols and amendments; Post-award functions (monitoring expenses and resolving wayward and suspense charges with departmental business office); Research activity tracking, outbound invoicing and tracking fund receiving, inbound invoices tracking and payables, reimbursements, research billing account requests and reviewing, greenphire / clincard requests for patient stipends ; Preparing, reviewing and/or processing purchase order requests including reserving meeting spaces, tracking receiving, travel expense reports, and record keeping. Organize and track center supplies. Be responsible for center archive file storage and retrieving. This position will establish and maintain account and transaction files. The primary focus will be on the Center’s pre- and post-award functions to act as a liaison with departmental business office, internal and external constituents. The position will evaluate and report on relevant financial and administrative issues that may arise, make recommendations towards resolution, and implement solutions to identified issues. The second function of this position is the backup to our regulatory coordinator when needed. Perform additional duties as assigned.

In addition to the duties outlined above, the coordinator-B will be responsible for start-up activities such as assisting with budget negotiation, establishing workflows/pathways/operationalizing protocols, and creating/leading SIVs. The coordinator-B will also be expected to mentor/train less experienced research staff in the completion of their duties when required.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with 2-3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required

Effective problem-solving abilities; effective communication and writing skills; strong organizational and time management skills; flexible and able to multi-task; demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently; knowledge of clinical research process.
