Job Description Summary

The Department of Art at Wake Forest University invites applications for a non-tenure-track position at the rank of Teacher-Scholar Post Graduate Fellow for a one-year appointment to begin July 1, 2022. An MFA in art is required with teaching experience beyond the graduate TA level. We seek a teacher-scholar who has the background to teach all levels of sculpture in a Studio Art BA program. The successful candidate will be committed to excellence in both teaching and creative work and will teach a combination of introductory, intermediate, and upper-level sculpture courses (two courses per semester). As a department that embraces the Liberal Arts, we teach many introductory students with little or no experience making art. The successful hire will be joining a department committed to equity-focused teaching practices and diversity in the design of our curriculum. We seek an artist who thinks about sculpture expansively and who is interested in forging interdisciplinary connections at Wake Forest and in the larger Winston-Salem community.
