Poole College of Management has four academic departments: Accounting, Business Management, Economics and Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The Department of Economics in the Poole College of Management of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track position. Primary responsibility is teaching courses in the undergraduate programs, beginning Fall 2022. Compensation will be based on candidate’s experience and credentials.Other Responsibilities:
The candidate is expected to teach various courses, especially econometrics. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to inclusiveness and diversity, and a commitment to academic excellence.Assistant Teaching Professor typically teaches three class sections per semester, with additional scholarly research responsibilities. Candidates must also be contributing faculty members to department and college service activities.
Subject to budget contingencies, the appointment will begin on August 16, 2022. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in economics or related discipline by that date.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Develop and deliver assigned course(s) under the direction of the Economics Department Head.
- Contributing member of Department and College faculty.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the department head.
- Perform scholarly research activities, including publication of original contributions in scholarly academic journals.
Ph.D. in Economics or related discipline.Other Required Qualifications:
- Evidence of high-quality university-level teaching through, for example, teaching evaluations and letters of recommendation.
- Teaching experience or professional experience in econometrics analysis.
- Statement or other evidence of a commitment to inclusiveness and diversity.
