SIUE offers open and continuous testing for most Civil Service classifications (positions). Open Recruitment indicates an ongoing need to recruit persons interested in current or future vacancies. Classifications that are labeled “Special Group” are not available for open and continuous testing. NOTE: All Civil Service positions require Illinois residency to test or Illinois residency within 180 calendar days of hire date (Occupational Codes 01, 02, 03 only). You can find this information on the Class Specification sheet on the State University Civil Service System site.

Applicants must submit an updated and complete Civil Service Application, which must include complete employment history, through HireTouch. The application is the last form in the document package.
