Responsibilities

We are seeking highly motivated candidates with experience in cell biology and/or lab management to provide experimental support for the existing projects and administration support for the laboratory. The experimental support will include common cell biology techniques, such as cell culture, immunolabelling, western blot, PCR, next-generation sequencing library preparations, and others. The administrative support will include ordering of supplies and reagents, general laboratory maintenance, and training of new personnel. This is a full-time role.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in biology or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred
  • Experience in laboratory management.
  • Experience in laboratory purchasing and ordering.
  • Experience in cell culture.

Anticipated Salary Range

$15.40/hour and up, commensurate with experience.

Criminal Background Check

This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check, to include fingerprinting. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11.
