Educational and Experience Requirement:

Associates degree in a related field. Three years related work experience in higher education. Experience in an environment dealing with financial literacy education and financial counseling preferred. Experience developing and implementing programs, activities, promotions, or special events in higher education desired. Experience in written and oral presentation preferred. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

Nature & Purpose of Position:

Facilitates or assists higher level staff members in the implementation of programs and other activities within the Student Money Management Center (SMMC).

Primary Responsibilities:

Assists in developing and coordinating services, programs, policies and procedures, promotions and special events of the Student Money Management Center (SMMC). Coordinates, maintains, and supervises the SMMC peer counseling program. Conducts presentations, workshops and seminars concerning personal finance topics for the university community. Responsible for administrative duties including scheduling events, assisting the Director and Assistant Director in the assessment of the Center’s educational efforts, conducting and coordinating training, workshops, and meetings involving the SMMC. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Other Specifications:

Contact with students, faculty, staff, administration, alumni, parents, corporate and public officials, state agencies, and the general public. Attends workshops and conferences to improve knowledge of personal finance.

Up to 40% of this position, over the fiscal year during off-peak periods, may be performed remotely as determined by the supervisor.
