Job Summary:The Alumni Engagement Officer (AEO) of Program Development, reports directly to the Director of Alumni Engagement. The AEO, oversees the continued development of programs focused on building positive alumni relations with the Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving team. This position will oversee current programming created to build relationships with alumni, as well as creating new programming that addresses gaps in the current engagement plan.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
MAJOR DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supports, evaluates and grows collaborative programs within our department.
  • Works with the Director of Alumni Engagement to schedule at least 16 alumni committee meetings throughout the year.
  • Works with the Alumni Engagement Officer of External Communication to ensure that the seven traditional events hosted by our alumni committees continue; works with the committees and Alumni Engagement team to recruit new members for the alumni committees.
    • Works with the Alumni Engagement team, the alumni committees and other campus partners to find opportunities to include other alumni and/or student groups in at least two of these events each year as a means to continue the important spiritual and historical events these committees have established.
    • Aids the committees in recruiting at least two new members a year and replacing any members who are resigning from the committees.
  • Assists the Director of Communication in managing relationships with nearly 10 campus partners who send alumni surveys and newsletters through Alumni Engagement.
  • Leads the Alumni for Others Cookie and Wrapping Paper Collection each year, with the goal of collecting at least 1,000 cookies and 25 rolls of wrapping paper for the annual Christmas party for the homeless.
  • Creates a plan to engage Stewardship into at least four annual events
  • Co-leads an effort, alongside Annual Giving, to reinstate reunion and affinity giving campaigns during Blue and Gold Weekend; specifically focusing on developing metrics to track post-traditional alumni giving and increase participation in the next five years.


Researches and implements engagement opportunities for post-traditional alumni.
  • Facilitates an annual survey of post-traditional students with a 10 percent participation rate, focused on general attitudes toward alumni programs and benefits, as well as feedback about overall event offerings.
  • Works with the Alumni Engagement Officer of External Communication to make at least two Dinner for Twelves events each year focused on/inclusive of post-traditional students and alumni.
  • Studies post-traditional engagement events and opportunities at other universities, exploring ways those strategies could inspire programming at Regis.
  • Participates in at least eight of the monthly AJCU alumni engagement monthly meetups, maintaining relationships with other Jesuit institutions and incorporating new ideas with proven success at other schools.
  • Identify at least two new alumni benefits that can be offered to post-traditional alumni based on feedback from the first annual survey of that group.


Evaluates current programming and outreach efforts.
  • Partners with the Alumni Engagement Officer of Internal Communication to evaluate dozens of event and program surveys to inform future engagement efforts.
  • Engage and collaborate with campus partners to learn more about the successes and challenges they have had with alumni engagement and communication to develop two to three new programming opportunities per year.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

Minimum requirement is a baccalaureate degree.

Experience:
  • 3 years of alumni engagement or program development experience. No less than three years of professional, fulltime work experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrated success in planning and executing events or programs.
  • Demonstrated success in goal setting and developing metrics, strategies and tactics to grow participation.
  • Higher education experience preferred, particularly working with adults and/or graduate students or alumni.


WORKING CONDITIONS:

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work. Some local, regional, and/or national travel is required.

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday; 40 hours/week, plus some evening and weekend activities

FTE: 1.00


Pay Rate:Up to $45,000/year commensurate with qualifications
