Adjunct Instructor-Education Data, Technology and Innovation

The MA Program in Educational Transformation at Georgetown University is looking for an adjunct instructor to teach a 3 credit graduate level Education Data, Technology and Innovation course in our Summer Session this May and June. The course has three primary learning goals: to enable students to access, utilize and perform descriptive and correlational data analysis on the most commonly used national level data sets in education policy; to understand and utilize the school technology platforms most commonly used to generate and analyze student-level performance data and to appropriately aggregate these data and analyses to the classroom, school, district and state levels; develop student awareness and abilities to employ appropriate statistical inferences when using student level data to advance educational policy arguments.

The MA Program in Educational Transformation is a program designed to prepare professionals to advance equity in education across multiple domains: race, class, linguistic diversity and among students with disabilities. We take a critical stance towards educational policies and practices and seek to develop among our students the skills to transform educational settings and contexts to promote equity. We take an explicitly anti-racist position in our program and an asset-based approach in our pedagogy; we expect all faculty to uphold and model those commitments in their teaching.

The course runs from May 23th to July 1st, meeting on Mondays and Wednesdays, 5:00pm-8:25pm. The expected pay for this course is $8,500.
