Full-time faculty position in the Integrative Immunology Center, School of Community Medicine, College of Medicine, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.

Areas of Responsibility

The primary areas of responsibility for the faculty member will be Research, Teaching and Service. It is anticipated that in the initial phase, the faculty member will devote a majority of effort toward research with more balance being achieved among categories as the faculty member becomes fully established.


  1. The faculty member will be expected to manage his/her laboratory and research according to all applicable ethical and safety guidelines as established by the university.
  2. The faculty member will be expected to actively seek appointment to the graduate faculty and to participate as a member of the Integrative Immunology Center and his/her academic department in research training of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
  3. The faculty member will be expected to regularly and promptly disseminate the results of her/his research in well respected journals within his/her field of expertise.
  4. As a faculty member of the Integrative Immunology Center, the individual filling this position will be expected to actively pursue local, state and federal sources of support to derive the funds necessary to advance his/her research goals.


  1. Develop or refine course offerings in her/his field of expertise.
  2. Participate and demonstrate proficiency in departmental teaching efforts for medical, dental, graduate, and other students as required by the department.


  1. The individual will be expected to represent his/her academic department and the Integrative Immunology Center by making his/her expertise available to the general community and its educational effort as required by the department.
  2. The appointee will be expected to actively participate in departmental, Integrative Immunology Center, university, and Health Sciences Center committee work as required.
  3. With appointment to the graduate faculty, the individual will be expected to serve on and actively contribute to graduate student advisory committees.


Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) with demonstrable experience and success in independent research. Success will be evidenced by publications in recognized journals commensurate in number with years of postdoctoral training, and/or success in securing extramural support for research.
