Events Coordinator

Under the immediate supervision of the Director of Opportunity Programs, this person will assist in the planning and implementation of all events for the Academic Success Center (ASC).


  1. Coordinate all aspects of event logistics, planning and production, working with internal and external service
  2. Serve as the point person for vendor contracts (in partnership with the Office of Fiscal Affairs)
  3. Produce promotional materials and communication for events
  4. Assist in staff development/recognition within the ASC
  5. Recruit and organize volunteer staffing needs for events, providing event training and oversight; serves as the primary on-site event contact for staff, vendors
  6. Preforms other duties related to those enumerated above which do not alter the basic level of position responsibility


  1. Bachelor’s Degree Required
  2. A minimum two years’ experience in event management
  3. Effective verbal and written communication skills
  4. Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  5. Ability to relate effectively with diverse student and staff populations

These qualifications may be waived for individuals with appropriate alternate experience.
