Job Summary Performs laboratory work related to studies in cancer and heart disease. Maintains research database, communicates well with other laboratory members, and works well as part of a team. Assists with ordering supplies and maintaining a safe and organized laboratory environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform laboratory experiments related to cancer and cardiovascular disease.
• Maintain laboratory databases of reagents and antibodies.
• Maintain current biosafety laboratory protocols in accordance with both university and national regulations.
• Assist with training and supervision of new students, postdocs, and technicians in the lab as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by P.I.

Required Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or other natural, life, health care or materials science directly related to the research area to which the position is assigned and experience in research, basic science or clinical laboratory particularly clinical trial research.
OR
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or other natural, life, health care or materials science directly related to the research area to which the position is assigned and a minimum of three years' research and/or clinical experience; previous supervisory experience.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Ability to maintain confidentialityExcellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databasesShift/Salary/Benefits Shift: Days; Monday - Friday (Work outside of normal business hours may be required) Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position Recruitment Period: Until FilledConditions of Employment All candidates are required to successfully pass a Background Check review prior to starting with Augusta University.
