The Program Coordinator - Instructional Technology Specialist will work with a dedicated group of professionals to apply instructional design, creative and technical skills to develop video-based online training, including web-based, blended, webinars, and other virtual approaches. Work with subject matter experts to develop training tools and resources, including job aids, presentations, handouts, and other needs. Coordinate training, events and conferences to support transportation industry training and outreach efforts.
Essential FunctionsProduce and edit online, blended, and micro-training video contentManage an LMS platform, hosting online training componentsSupervise and host in-person adult training events – within Massachusetts, but outside of the UMass Amherst campusCoordinate the development of training projects and associated job aids and class materialsResearch appropriate technical information in response to inquiries and requestsAssist in the creation of marketing and promotional materialsWork with University faculty and other personnel, consultants, and grant sponsors to coordinate outreach projectsAssist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reportsCommunicate with sponsors for approvals and overall coordinationDetermine priorities and schedule outreach activities accordinglyEvaluate training effectiveness and report resultsMonitor fees, billings, and invoicesEngage in activities that will help the Center growUpdate, expand, and maintain a customer databaseAttend sponsor meetings and other meetingsOperate a motor vehicle to travel to work sitesMake recommendations regarding future activities

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)Experience with adult education, instructional design methods, or other training development strategiesProficiency with a variety of personal computer software, including but not limited to: Adobe PremierePro video software, spreadsheets, word processing and database managementExperience with online training development methods and tools, including recording technology and Adobe editing softwareAbility to understand and synthesize data to create infographics, job aids, and other design applicationsAbility to travel within the Commonwealth and to host eventsAbility to work independently to organize concurrent diverse activities with minimal supervisionCapable of excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to plan and schedule training projectsA valid driver’s license required
Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, regional planning, education, or other related field of study is highly preferred
