Position:

Trinity Christian College invites applications for a half-time faculty position in Mathematics, beginning August 2022.

Qualifications:

Ph.D. preferred Master’s degree in mathematics required. Experience in college-level teaching and scholarship is desired.

Responsibilities:

This is a 9-month half-time teaching faculty role. Responsibilities include teaching nine credits of mathematics courses each semester and collaborating in department activities. Teaching assignments will be selected to serve the department and college needs and align with the area of expertise of the successful candidate. Desirable areas of expertise include mathematics education and elementary statistics, though generalists are also encouraged to apply. In their first year, new faculty participate in a year-long formation program that begins with a three-day institute in August.

About the Department:

The Mathematics Department offers majors in mathematics and mathematics education. All students complete a field education experience as a required graduation component; many students also do research with department faculty. Faculty in the department have research interests in algebraic combinatorics, cryptography, and technology in the teaching of mathematics. The department hosts mathematics competitions for elementary and middle school students each year. More information about the department can be found on the college website http://www.trnty.edu.  

Timeline:
