Ph.D. preferred Master’s degree in mathematics required. Experience in college-level teaching and scholarship is desired.
Trinity seeks faculty candidates who are professing Christians and are committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. Successful candidates will possess the ability to articulate the relationship between their academic discipline, the vocational preparation of their students, and a vision for human flourishing that emerges from the Christian faith. Successful candidates are also dedicated to personal involvement with students outside of the classroom through advising, social interaction, and informal academic and cultural settings, as well as with professionals who can complement the Trinity experience. Please note that Trinity is currently also posting a half-time faculty position with an August 2022 start date. Candidates whose circumstances would allow them to begin in a half-time role and transition to a full-time role are encouraged to apply to that half-time position and to indicate in the cover letter their interest in a half- to full-time transition.
This is a 9-month tenure-track faculty role. Primary responsibilities include teaching mathematics courses that serve the department and college needs and align with the area of expertise of the successful candidate. All faculty participate at Trinity in faculty governance and in student advising and are expected to pursue a healthy scholarly and research agenda. In their first year, new faculty participate in a year-long formation program that begins with a three-day institute in August.
