Job Summary The Medical College of Georgia Department of Surgery and AU Health at Augusta University is seeking a full-time faculty member at the Associate or Professor level to serve as our next chief of Transplant Surgery. Candidates should be board-certified in general surgery and have completed a Transplant Surgery Fellowship with a minimum of 7 years of experience. The division currently includes pediatric and adult kidney program. The opportunity to develop and expand a hepatobiliary practice exists for qualified and interested candidates. Candidate will work closely with surgical residents /transplant nephrology fellows and actively participate in their education/training.The Medical College of Georgia, founded in 1828, is the 13th-oldest medical school in the United States. MCG is the medical school of the state of Georgia with 200 volunteer surgeons serving as faculty throughout our regional campuses. AU Health, the primary teaching hospital affiliated with MCG, is a 450-bed academic medical center positioned for significant growth in the next five years. The Department of Surgery will prioritize the development of innovative approaches to surgical education and health systems research as we execute on our tripartite mission over the next five years.
